What to expect

An honest account of how treatment works here: the assessment, the procedure, the aftercare, and what a before-and-after photograph can and cannot tell you.

Before & after

Photographs from the clinic

Shared by The Aesthetic Bar Clinic from its own casework. Each one is a single person’s outcome and not a promise of the same for anyone else. What is achievable for you is a conversation at consultation.

The process

What actually happens

The same sequence for every treatment, from the first message to the review.

  1. 01

    Consultation

You describe what is bothering you. Your skin and medical history are assessed, and you are told whether the treatment you came in for is appropriate, including when the answer is no.

  2. 02

    The plan

The procedure, the aftercare and the risks are explained in full, along with the price. Nothing is booked until you have that in front of you.

  3. 03

    Treatment

The treatment is carried out at the clinic by a qualified doctor.

  4. 04

    Aftercare

You leave with written aftercare instructions and a way to reach the clinic if anything concerns you afterwards.

  5. 05

    Review

A follow-up is arranged where the treatment calls for one, so progress can be assessed in person rather than guessed at.

Setting expectations

What a photograph cannot tell you

Aesthetic results depend on your skin, your anatomy, your age and your medical history. Somebody else’s outcome is not a forecast of yours. What is realistically achievable for you is a conversation at consultation, which is the honest answer, even though it is not the one a gallery of photographs implies.

Consumer guidance

How to read a before-and-after, anywhere

Useful whichever clinic you are considering, including this one.

  • Same lighting, same angle, same distance

A change in any of the three can create or erase an apparent result on its own. Genuine comparisons are shot to match.

  • A stated interval

A pair of photographs means little without knowing how long passed between them.

  • No make-up in one and full make-up in the other

It is the most common way a comparison is quietly flattered.

  • Results vary between people

Someone else’s photograph is not a prediction of your outcome. What is achievable for you is a conversation at consultation, not something a gallery can answer.

Ask about your own case

Describe what is bothering you and we will tell you what is realistic, including when the honest answer is that a treatment will not achieve what you are hoping for.
